Artifact A deliverable document generated from your knowledge base. Artifacts turn your extracted intelligence into usable outputs like battle cards, messaging guides, or persona summaries.
Canvas A visual workspace with sticky notes for brainstorming and organization. Use the Canvas to arrange ideas, group themes, and plan content visually.
Confidence Score A 0–100 score indicating how certain Upstream is about an extracted entity. Higher scores mean the entity was clearly stated in your source document. Scores of 80 and above are auto-approved; lower scores go to your Review Queue for manual review.
Entity A piece of structured knowledge extracted from your documents. Entities are categorized into 10 types, including Pain Points, Objections, Feature Requests, and more. See the Entity Types Reference for the full list.
Knowledge Graph The network of entities and relationships built from your documents. The knowledge graph connects your GTM intelligence so you can see patterns, surface insights, and generate artifacts grounded in real data.
Relationship A connection between two entities. Relationships describe how entities interact — for example, one entity might "support" another, or two might "contradict" each other. Upstream identifies 8 relationship types automatically.
Review Queue Where extracted entities await your approval before entering the knowledge graph. High-confidence entities are auto-approved, while medium- and low-confidence entities appear here for you to accept, edit, or reject.
Sprint Planner A tool for organizing work into epics, sprints, and tasks. The Sprint Planner helps your team plan and track product, marketing, and operational initiatives.
Staleness When an entity hasn't been validated recently and may be outdated. Stale entities are flagged so you can review and confirm whether they're still accurate, keeping your knowledge graph current.
